Soybean Cooperative Agricultural Pest Survey (CAPS) for New York State

(Funding: USDA). Golden Twin Spot Moth and Silver Y Moth traps will be set up in a soybean field in NNY to monitor for the presence of these two different moth species during the growing season. We will also be closely monitor this field for the Soybean Cyst Nematode (SCN). This is part of a statewide survey for potentially invasive species that are on the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) watch list. At the present time, neither of these moth species have been identified in New York State. Collaborators include: Jaime Cummings, NYS IPM, Ken Wise, NYS IPM, Mike Hunter, Aaron Gabriel, Mike Stanyard and Kevin Ganoe.
